The structure of switchgear

Apr 06, 2022

The main electrical components of the switchgear have their own separate compartments. They are: handcart type, busbar contact, outlet contact, cable room, instrument room.

Handcart: The handcart is in the middle of the front of the switchgear. The bus-side contacts of the handcart-type circuit breaker are inserted into the busbar compartment, and high-strength rails are installed on both sides of the handcart-type circuit breaker. When the handcart-type circuit breaker is pulled out, the valve automatically falls to close the socket. During the maintenance and experiment of the switch body, it is strictly forbidden to open the insulating baffle.

Busbar compartment: The busbar compartment is on the upper part of the switchgear. Its side is held by a unique screen, which is imprisoned by rivets, and can only be opened from the top, so there is less risk of electric shock.

Cable room: The cable room is in the lower part of the switchgear. In addition to connecting line cables, there are current transformers, line arresters, grounding switches, zero-sequence current transformers, etc. The rear screen guard and the grounding isolating switch are mechanically interlocked. Only when the line grounding isolating switch is closed can the rear screen guard and the switchgear lower cabinet door be opened.

Instrument room: The panel of the instrument room is equipped with a microcomputer protection device, an operating handle, a live display device, a status indicator, etc. Terminal blocks, control circuit power switches, and auxiliary equipment are installed in the instrument room.
